SQUARES ART objects – data and art form a fascinating symbiosis …
SQUARES ART objects consist of colourful, systematically arranged squares that effectively illuminate rooms.
With their maximalist elements, the objects capture meaningful moments in a unique way, and any combination of dates merges artfully into a harmonious whole – each work becomes a new composition and tells its own story.
The respective data and date combinations are visualised by positioning the squares in relation to each other – based on the principle of an analogue clock. This visualisation concept is unique worldwide and makes the objects special gifts for birthdays, weddings and numerous other occasions. The range of variations is almost limitless, because even with small SQUARES ART objects, it is possible to visualise numbers between 0 and a trillion.
The following example shows how the idea for the first work in my series THE COLOURS OF TOGETHERNESS came about in support of humanitarian projects: On 11 December 1946, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) was founded to help children and give them the chance of a better life. Together with the many people who have given their time, donations and hearts over many years, UNICEF has been able to help countless girls and boys in all parts of the world and give them a chance to grow up in a good, protected environment – made possible by a strong community.
This impressive power of togetherness inspired me to artistically merge the historic date of 11 December 1946 (founding of the United Nations Children’s Fund) with the equally special date of 26 October 1965 (the day UNICEF was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize) in an unprecedented way.
Inspiration becomes reality, and on 26 October 2025, exactly 60 years after the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded, the first SQUARES ART object from the title series THE COLOURS OF TOGETHERNESS will be released. This object focuses on the two significant dates of 11 December 1946 and 26 October 1965, and the work is intended to benefit the children’s charity Unicef in many ways and for an unlimited period of time.
The image below shows the SQUARES ART object in the form of a high-quality FINE ART PRINT. The colour-intensive, very high-resolution prints in 14 x 14 cm format can be individually framed, preferably in a compact 3D picture frame with a large frame depth, so that this object can not only be hung up but also effectively displayed.
The middle image shows a SQUARES ART object measuring 180 x 180 cm, which was awarded the INTERNATIONAL PRIZE ARTISTS ON THE FRENCH RIVIERA in Nice in 2025.
